Quitzr ("we", "our", "us") is a mobile application developed by Asura Studios. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

You can use Quitzr anonymously without providing any personal information. If you choose to create an account, we may collect:

• Email address (if you sign in with Email, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In)
• Display name (optional)
• Authentication provider identifiers

Habit Tracking Data

To provide our core services, we collect and store:

• Streak data (start dates, current streak, best streak)
• Relapse events (dates, optional triggers and notes)
• Check-in dates
• Goal names and categories
• Personal reasons for quitting (stored locally and in your account)

Device Information

We may collect:

• Push notification tokens (for sending notifications you opt into)
• Anonymized usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics)
• Crash reports (via Sentry, no personal data included)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Quitzr app and its features
• Track your habit-breaking progress and calculate statistics
• Send push notifications you have opted into (reminders, milestones)
• Enable the Squad feature (sharing your public goal name and streak count with your partners)
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Process in-app purchases and manage your subscription

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols. We do not store payment information; all in-app purchases are managed by RevenueCat, with payment processing handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:

• Firebase / Google Cloud Platform (data storage and authentication)
• RevenueCat (subscription management; no personal data shared)
• Expo Push Service (push notification delivery; only your push token)
• Sentry (crash reporting; anonymized technical data only)

The Squad feature allows you to voluntarily share your public goal name and streak count with up to 3 partners. This is entirely opt-in.

5. Advertising

Quitzr does not display any advertisements. We do not share your data with advertising networks.

6. Squad Feature

The Squad feature lets you connect with up to 3 accountability partners. When you join a squad, only your public goal name and streak count are shared with your partners. No other personal data (triggers, notes, relapse details) is ever shared. You can leave a squad at any time.

7. Push Notifications

We use the Expo Push Service to send push notifications. Your push token is stored securely and used solely for delivering notifications you have opted into. You can disable push notifications at any time from your device settings or within the app.

8. Children's Privacy

Quitzr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Request a portable copy of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Account deletion is permanent and will remove all your data from our servers, including your streaks, events, goals, reasons, and any squad connections.

11. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is permanently deleted. We do not retain any personal data after account deletion.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app or on our website. The effective date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
